My Boyfriend’s Love Language started from something deeply personal — my relationship. My partner and I have been together for almost six years now, and along the way we’ve learnt so much about each other and what makes us feel loved. His love language is mostly acts of service, while mine has always been gift-giving.

For me, gift-giving is how I express love, it’s my way of saying, “I see you, I thought of you, I love you.” And when I give to him, it becomes his experience of being loved. That’s where the name comes from. Normally, when someone says “my boyfriend’s love language,” they mean his. But in my case, it’s the opposite — my love language, expressed for him. My giving becomes his receiving. That little twist is what makes the name meaningful and personal.

 Even though it began with him as my muse, I quickly realised how often boyfriends get overlooked when it comes to truly thoughtful gifts. Too often, men end up with the same predictable presents, wallets, socks, and the usual standbys. I wanted to change that by creating gifts that feel intentional, creative, and memorable.
